Family Responsibilities Among Latina College Students From Immigrant Families

El propósito de este estudio fue el de examinar tipos diferentes de responsabilidades en la familia entre estudiantes universitarias Latinas y cómo estas responsabilidades afectan sus experiencias universitarias. Entrevistas semiestructuradas se condujeron con 20 mujeres Latinas de primera y segunda generación universitaria, entre las edades de 18 y 29. Los resultados señalan tres temas emergentes de acuerdo al papel de responsabilidad familiar, el cual discutiremos en el contexto de ajuste y retención de estudiantes Latinas universitarias.
